Read Gen 22:5. Abraham told the attendants that he and the boy were going to go worship and then the both of them would return. They knew they they would be returning before they left for the mountain. Why else would they tell the attendant that they would return? That whole chapter is a foreshadow of the Messiah's coming(verse 13)

Upcoming Surgery and Blood
by HeyThere ini am a newly unbaptised publisher.
recently i found out i need to have major surgery and the jw's tried to rush a blood card in my hand.
i was so relieved when the elders said i could not have one until i was baptised.. but they rushed to get me copies of the blood videos.

Don't know how you got a blood card if your not baptised yet. There was an unbaptised publisher in our hall who had two elders go over to her home and watch the blood video with her. They couldn't do any more for her because she wasn't baptised. It was sad for she was roughly seventy years old and has cancer. All she wanted was to make sure when she goes into the hospital that one of them would be by her side. The one elder who watched the video with her was on the hospital liason committee and even he said he couldn't go in because she wasn't baptised. I thought that was just sickening. What was wrong with just going in as a supporter or just a friend? Yet when it came to my worldly fleshly brother who was about to die, his jw wife had her circuit overseer and an elder from the hospital liason committee by his bedside until he pulled through. By brother had been out of the religion for over twenty years and then this happened and now he's back in it. Shit for brains!!!!!!!
Wishing you all the best with your surgery,

REMEMBER THOSE IN NURSING HOMES
by The Searcher inwhen i saw this article's title in the latest kingdom ministry - http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/watchtower/bible/278822/1/june-2014-kingdom-ministry-km-06-2014-pdf - i was delighted!!.
i thought, "at last, we are all being encouraged to visit our poor brothers & sisters in nursing homes, who feel abandoned!.
nope, that's not it - it's all about targetting non-witnesses in those establishments, and get them to sign up for "bible" studies.

For sure it's about the money. They've had 100 years plus to do this type of work and didn't do it. They need their wills. And yes most are mentally or physically disabled to a degree. I have never seen a jw even pull their parent or aging parent out of the old folk homes and bring them to a meeting. Only one in our hall brought his grandmother a couple of times to a meeting until he was made a ms and then that stopped. The nursing home is right next door to the kingdom hall. They don't care about the elderly ones in the halls now. Their lucky if they even get a hello. This just sickens me to no end.

Is this new donation arrangement for real?
by nugget injust read a post on jwsurvey about the new donation arrangement.
congregations are to pledge a monthly amount to be sent to the society to fund the building of assembly halls and kingdom halls.
congregations who already have a loan from the society will no longer have to pay back the loan but the amount pledged should not be less than the current monthly repayments to the society.

If these elders dare to knock on my door to encourage me to come back I will tell them "wish I could afford to go, maybe someone can pay for my seat or glad I don't have to go for the year since I'm all paid up." I wonder if the hall is all paid up for the year, if these goons will even care if people are at their meetings. It's all about the dollar. Next the other contribution boxes will be taken down and they'll have to pass a resolution for that. Then the lunchroom will disappear, washrooms and then the building. I would pay to never have watchtower exist or their wicked rules!

It's a wait and see game with nothing to lose. I've already lost all my family and friends so this is just pure entertainment. Not worth the blood pressure going through the roof. Nothing is in stone yet!
I wouldn't lay it past the elders if that were to happen with them going over their income taxes. (I realize that it's not in stone yet so chill out and please no name calling) I remember an elderly sister who lived alone and all her kids are living in the US. The elder was taking her into the second school to discuss what she could afford to give for donations as well as to go over her will. Later on her one son came up to visit her and said to me how he couldn't understand how this elder was in charge of her will and bank account. He was mad. That sister is in a home for the elderly with both her legs off and no one to visit her. Not even that elder! It's all about the money and for sure I can see the society targeting old folks homes so they can prey on them next.

What is the point of Judicial Committees??
by quellycatface ini've had 2 jc's, both resulted in reproof.. but.....in church, the vicar asks us do reflect quitely on anything that we have done that we're not happy about and to ask for forgiveness in our heart.

I still can't understand the hall we were in just gave a neighboring kingdom hall five thousand dollars out of our halls account and borrowed another fifteen thousand from society. A grand total of twenty thousand dollars was given to the neighboring hall so they could build a new hall. My question is what happened to the money they made selling their old hall and why did our hall donate twenty thousand to them? Fifteen of that borrowed from society to help another hall? Where's the money from the hall that was sold? Society owns all the halls and this is just not adding up.

The only thing that worked for me was natural progesterone that is made up by the natural compound pharmacist. It's horse urine and emu oil. You need a prescription from your family doctor for it. It takes a few weeks to get absorbed into your system. I wouldn't live with out it. The minute I put it on, I sleep like a baby.
I read up on it. The book is named What Doctors Don't Tell You About Premenopause by Dr. Lee. I haven't had a night sweat since. There's another book out named What Doctors Don't Tell You About Menopause as well.
My family doctor didn't even know how to write out the prescription so he called the pharmacist. Half a teaspoon per day is all you need. Just rub it on before going to bed. Out here compound pharmacists are few. I wish you the best.

How do you mentally switch off
by joe134cd inwhen i was first introducing myself to apostasy, i sincerley believed i could play both worlds.
at the time i wasn't happy been a witness, and i didn't like the people in my congregation, but i thought i could just stumble along.
with in 18 months of visiting my first apostate site, i had walked out of the kh.. what i have a hard time getting my head around are these people who can successfully play both worlds.

The very first time I lurked on JWN was the last meeting I went to. It confirmed what my gut feeling was telling me all along but my jc after a year being out was the proof I needed. My heart goes out to those still in due to family.
